Many of the android devices already got latest android marshmallow update and some devices is going to getting update in near future. Upgrading to marshmallow is easy for everyone if the update is available for your device over the air (OTA). After upgrading to Android 6 you need to setup your device and then wants to copy or transfer some Image or music files to your device.
If you are going to transfer your data from your device to PC or laptop to device then you should know that Android USB Configuration in Marshmallow is slightly different in android 6.0 as from its older versions.
Connect your device to your laptop using USB then you will see a notification on device’s notification panel (Got to Step 10), If not then Follow the following steps to enable mass storage on android 6 marshmallow.
1. Switch on your device.
2. Open device’s settings.
3. Go to About Phone.
4. Continue click 10 times on build number.
5. Come back to settings, now you will see developer options.
6. Open Developer Settings/Options.
7. Enable Development Settings.
8. Enable USB Debugging.
9. Now you have activated USB Debugging on your Android.
10. Connect your device to laptop or pc via USB. Now you can see USB options on your notification bar. Click on "USB for charging" notification.
11. By default you device will be connected as "for charging only".
12. Choose Transfer Files (MTP). This option will allow to you tranfer files from your pc or laptop to you newly updated Android device and vice-versa.
13. Now you can see your device connected as "USB for file transfer" with your laptop/PC. Now you can transfer files between your device and PC.
